Gene Express was founded in the year 2004 by scientists of the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC) and the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). It is located in the Greater Lisbon area (Alcabideche, Portugal). Gene Express is Portugal’s first Affymetrix Service Provider and its team looks back on more than eight years of practical experience with the Affymetrix GeneChip® Technology. Our mission is to provide high quality services in the area of research and diagnostics based on GeneChip® Technology. In addition we are committed to the development of new diagnostic GeneChip® test systems tailored to specific health care needs.
